HIKE TELLER FARMS SOUTH TRAILHEAD
TUESDAY, JANUARY 20th at 9:00AM
Join us for a brisk winter hike offering stunning, long-range views. Starting at the Teller Farms South Trailhead, we will proceed north through lush farmland and creek areas past the Teller Farms North Trailhead, then return to our start. This trail offers gravel & dirt paths with mild grades that welcome hikers, runners, cyclists and birdwatchers. With beautiful, unobstructed views, this area is home to diverse wildlife and vegetation.
While this hike does not have much elevation (<300 ft gain), it is an out-and-back hike totaling 6-7 miles which we expect to take about 3-4 hours. Sign up only if you feel confident you are up for a hike of that duration at a pace of roughly 25-30 minutes per mile.
After the hike, if you are interested, join us at Jeannot's Patisserie & Bistro (N 95th & Arapahoe, 7 minute drive from the trailhead) for lunch or coffee.
As parts of this hike are habitat conservation areas, no dogs are allowed.
Where and When to meet: Tuesday, January 20th at 9 am, Teller Farms South Trailhead (8331 Arapahoe Avenue, at the end of the gravel road). The lot holds 32 cars so parking should not be an issue.
Preparation: While the trail is mostly exposed to the sun, it could have snow and/or ice at this time of year, so consider bringing Microspikes &/or poles. Wear appropriate winter-weather clothing and bring plenty of water. There are restroom facilities at the trailhead.

If you know you can't make it, please have the courtesy to cancel as far in advance as possible to give others the chance to fill your spot.
Registration cancellations will be accepted until January 20th, at 9:00 AM.
This is a BNC member-only hike. If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 3 days in advance of the event. Please notify the hike leaders and Activity Director when you cancel.
