We will be snowshoeing at Brainard Lake and the round trip is just a hair under 5 miles. Take note, though, that snowshoeing is more work/strenuous than hiking but great fun! Click here for more details: HIKING PROJECT DESCRIPTION or check out our blog post on our website for our personal notes from our trial run a few weeks ago Brainard Snowshoe Notes by Jason & Trish We will meet at the building near the entrance to the parking lot. You can park in the lot, or if that is full, park on the side of the road leading to it. There is a well-placed restroom too.
The trailhead is on the left of the closed road and (not so) creatively called SnowShoe Trail.
Not much cell coverage there but you can try texting us at 720-626-8416. If you don't own snowshoes, we have seen them for sale at Costco or rent at http://www.crystalskishop.com/services/rentals/daily-rentals/
